Our XuP-Med mobile robot is selected by UGAP

Led by Beckman Coulter, holder selected by UGAP, Meanwhile now joins the Union des Groupements d’Achats Publics (UGAP), the only generalist public purchasing center in France, to deliver its autonomous mobile robotic solution for transport of medical goods through French public entities. Meanwhile aims to strengthen its presence in the public sector. Offering the robot via the public purchasing center will facilitate access to the latest generation autonomous mobile robotics, particularly in healthcare establishments.

Indeed, Meanwhile offers autonomous mobile robotic solutions dedicated to healthcare establishments. A user-friendly design, a secure cabinet, XuP-Med is an autonomous mobile robot intended for the transport of medical goods (diagnostics, blood bags, drugs, chemotherapy, etc.) through health establishments (laboratories, hospitals, etc.).

XuP-Med travels a maximum of 35 km per day. It thus contributes to the reduction of walking journeys for nursing staff. This limitation of energy-intensive travel contributes to the reduction of P.S.R. (Psycho-Social Risks) and MSDs (Musculoskeletal Disorders) of staff. The nursing staff can then refocus on their tasks with the highest added value while XuP-Med takes care of transporting the products from one department to another. 

The Meanwhile solution is designed according to a risk analysis carried out in compliance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the ISO 3691-4 standard. It makes its deliveries safely and autonomously in a complex environment in the presence of stretcher-bearers, patients, children, etc. (autonomous elevator pick-up, automatic door opening, presence signaling, etc.)
