What are the differences between AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) and AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle)?

This article brings together the 4 main differences between autonomous mobile robots and self-guided vehicles.

Autonomy: Thanks to its lasers and its Artificial Intelligence specialized in indoor navigation, autonomous mobile robots are able to navigate in complex environments in the presence of operators and handling equipment, while ensuring optimal efficiency in their transport .  They are able to steer around and avoid obstacles, unlike AVGs which can detect obstacles in front of them, but are not able to steer around them. So they simply stop until the obstacle is removed.

Economy: Unlike AGVs, which necessarily require modification of the existing infrastructure via expensive installations (installation of sensors, wires or magnetic strips, etc.), the installation of Meanwhile autonomous mobile robots is carried out in extremely short timeframes. because there is no need to modify the existing infrastructure.
